Herbata miesiąca - styczeń || Tea of the month - January

Gdyby chodziło o wybór patrona roku w kategorii sportowiec, film, samochód to zgoda, ale inaczej to moim skromnym zdaniem trochę bez sensu. Dlatego będę tu opisywać moją ulubioną herbatę miesiąca po zakończeniu danego miesiąca i zatem dziś, na początku lutego, herbata stycznia:

Chai - Starbucks

For starters I want to say, that I always found it really funny, that some contests for the sportsman, film, or car of the year, take place at the very beginning of the said year or even at the end of the previous year. If it was about the patron sportsman, film or car of the year than fine but me, otherwise - odd. That's why I will be showing you my favorite tea of the month after the month has come to an end. So today, at the beginning of February, my tea of Januray:

Chai - Starbucks

The absolute winner of January - I got the tea from hubs for my birthday. I enjoy exotic blends, and this one was my drink of choice when I was pregnant and taught English classes in Starbucks. I took it pure or as latte. Delish. But, I need to confess that for a very long time I had been pretty reluctant to try it, as I always thought it might be just hell of a strong black tea, due to its Russian-sounding name (in Russian "chai" means "tea").

This tea is indeed intensive enough to be brewed in a kettle for two cups. It's of course perfect for those times when you want to share this aromatic and warming beverage with someone. The base of this blend is black tea, but the real stars are the warming cinammon, fragrant cloves, hot ginger and black pepper, sweet star anis and amazing cardamon. As a result you get a drink perfect for winter evening, evocative of distant India and Nepal. Unfortunately, the tea has two cons: the ingredients list natural aroma (who, with the mentioned spices, needs any aroma is beyond me) and the price for a 15-bag box is 5.9 EUR.
